The Bali Conrad is highly regarded among Chinese travelers because its Infinity Chapel has long been synonymous with churches in Bali. Even if you’re not very familiar with this Conrad, you’ve likely seen its Infinity Chapel in various pictures of Bali. It’s a white triangular building situated in the midst of a pool, with avant-garde modern architectural style, and the vast ocean stretches behind the church.
We specifically made a trip to Bali for this product. In fact, we’ve stayed at this Conrad over ten years ago when it was still known as Hongli (Conrad was once mostly called Hongli before it unified under the Conrad name). The Bali Conrad is enormous! With 368 rooms, it boasts four super large outdoor pools connected to a beach. This beach might be over 300 meters long.
Bali Conrad is a resort with Balinese architectural style and beautiful gardens. Public areas are within walking distance to the beach; it’s just very comfortable.
The main pool deserves special mention; it’s impressively large and comfortable.
This hotel is also very suitable for families, as the kids’ club is right by the seaside. Many other hotels place the kids’ club deep indoors, but kids really need outdoor space more.
In terms of dining, I recommend having a buffet dinner at the SUKU Indonesian restaurant in the evening. Many visitors not staying at Conrad will come specifically for the buffet since SUKU restaurant has special performances every Saturday, showcasing local Balinese style.
The food selection is also nice, including roasted suckling pig. Furthermore, a high proportion of the dishes are made to order.
Additionally, I recommend Eight Degrees South seafood restaurant, which is very close to the beach with excellent views.
This package offers a Deluxe Garden View Room (which can potentially be upgraded to a Deluxe Pool View Room depending on availability). This room type is 45 square meters and comes with a large balcony. Don’t be misled into thinking Bali Conrad is old (it opened in 2004), as it underwent renovations in 2020, which you can tell from the room pictures below.
This price for Conrad is great; generally, it costs around 1400 per night on the calendar without breakfast. This time, 2199 for two nights includes breakfast for two. How can a seaside resort hotel not offer breakfast?

Overall, the Bali Conrad feels very much like a resort; the price this time is excellent and worth it.
2) Bali Hilton Resort Garden View Room for 2 nights with breakfast, 1999 yuan.

We also visited Bali Hilton this time. All three hotels we explored in Bali under Hilton. Bali Hilton is located in Nusa Dua; most good hotels in Bali are generally in Nusa Dua and Ubud. The hotel’s most prominent feature is that it has a 40-meter vertical cliff.
This means this hotel offers both beach and cliff views.
This Hilton opened in 1996, but it was renovated in 2019. Therefore, the rooms look good and don’t show much age. The standard room area is 48 square meters, with a private balcony, making it quite comfortable to stay in.
Most of the scenic public areas of the hotel are situated on the cliff (lobby, wedding chapel, etc.), while the outdoor pools are concentrated by the beach. Our overall impression was that the resort style is very prominent.
The hotel has both indoor and outdoor kids’ clubs, so your kids won’t run out of places to play.
We also compared with the calendar prices, and it’s significantly cheaper.
3) Bali Umana LXR Hotel and Resort One Bedroom Garden Pool Villa for 2 nights with breakfast + one free airport pick-up or drop-off, 6999 yuan (after coupon 6799).

Umana is Hilton’s LXR Hotels and Resorts in Southeast Asia. The hotel is perched on a cliff in Uluwatu, offering breathtaking cliff ocean views and stunning sunsets. Originally known as the Banyan Tree of Bali, it has been remodeled by Hilton and opened this year. It’s absolutely beautiful!
This hotel was famous even back when it was Banyan Tree, particularly for the Dove Chapel, one of Bali’s well-known wedding chapels, boasting unbeatable cliff-side ocean views.
The main pool is also suspended 70 meters above, facing the boundless sea.
Each room is a standalone villa of 400 square meters, with each room featuring a private outdoor pool and outdoor hot spring tub, providing excellent privacy. Furthermore, each villa has an assigned butler. I’ll show you pictures of the room from our recent stay.
The villa’s private outdoor pool is absolutely fantastic.
The hotel offers various activities; we only stayed for two nights and participated in three events: a traditional village hike, coffee tasting, and local cooking, which were all enriching.
The restaurant at Umana LXR is highly recommended! The Oliverrra Mediterranean restaurant has dishes that I find excellent, catering well to those fond of Western cuisine. Additionally, the restaurant offers superb views, perfect for sunset watching.
Commune serves local Balinese dishes that are also delicious.

I just finished my stay at the Bangkok Waldorf. I went to Bangkok specifically to write about the Waldorf, and I stayed at this hotel. So, I booked through the calendar for an anonymous stay. I paid a total of 4766.62 yuan for two nights (including one breakfast).

Waldorf is excellent. First, it has an unbeatable location in Bangkok, right by Erawan Shrine. Four hotels line up next to Erawan Shrine: Grand Hyatt, Waldorf, Anantara, and St. Regis. This area is almost the heart of Bangkok, connecting multiple shopping complexes, claiming to be “the world center” of Thailand.
Although I just stayed at Bangkok Waldorf a few days ago, I had visited their Thai restaurant, Front, before the pandemic. I highly recommend this restaurant for its great taste and cost-effectiveness. Plus, there’s a “single dog” package for solo diners.
Apart from being reliable for Thai cuisine, the hotel’s outdoor pool on the 16th floor is visually stunning, offering a view of the bustling downtown Bangkok.
On the 55th and 56th floors, there’s also a bar and a Western restaurant, providing fantastic views. The bar on the 56th floor of Waldorf is reasonably priced, with cocktails costing around 100 yuan.
The standard room at Waldorf is 50 square meters and opened in 2017, so the room quality is quite good. Each room features large floor-to-ceiling windows, providing a great view.
The toiletries used are from Aesop.
A nice detail about their service: during my two-night stay, the welcome fruit on the first night was a pear, and the next day, noticing I hadn’t eaten it, they replaced it entirely with oranges—a thoughtful touch.
I recommend booking a package that includes breakfast at Bangkok Waldorf; their breakfast is exceptional. There’s a made-to-order menu and a buffet, and the quality of the offerings is impressive.
If planning a trip to Bangkok, I’d recommend stocking up on this; it’s a well-tested excellent hotel.
